Anniversary of Roof Collapse

Posted on March 18th, 2019 by Dirk Arends

Next week we will recognize the first anniversary of our roof collapse that occurred on 3/24/2018. As most of you know, a particularly heavy snowfall and wind from the east combined to put such a load on the corner of our roof that it collapsed. We continue to be more than thankful that no one was hurt. Looking back on the past 12 months, it’s been a wild ride, to say the least. We cleared all the obstacles in our path and came back stronger than ever. Accomplishments of 2018 included getting all presses up and running quicker than anticipated, keeping our customers going by leveraging our St. Louis facility, retaining all our key hourly and salaried employees, and having a record sales year among others too numerous to mention.
We were also pleased to be recognized by Peoria Goodwill as the Community Partner of the Year and be awarded as the AGCO North American Quality Supplier of the Year. Our contractor PJ Hoerr gave us a phenomenal building. I can’t say enough about our employees and our customers, and we thank them all as we look back on 2018.
